Spa-like Shower

Incredibly Comfortable Bed
“One of the best aspects of my stay was the bed in my room. It was incredibly soft and spacious, allowing me to get a great night's sleep. Having a duvet instead of just a blanket made it even cozier, and I loved being able to snuggle in with the AC blasting.” view full review

I had a fantastic stay at the Gladstone House, which truly felt like a unique boutique hotel with its stunning Victorian architecture and contemporary art. My room was bright and spacious, but I did have a few minor issues with the toilet and blinds. The staff were so friendly and knowledgable, making the experience even better. Plus, the location was perfect for exploring Toronto!

My Studio King room was bright and spacious, beautifully designed, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. I did run into a couple of hiccups with the toilet and the window blind remote, which was a bit of a hassle.

I found Gladstone House to be a charming spot with beautiful historic architecture. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of a trendy area with great eateries nearby. However, I did encounter some inconveniences: the service at the front desk felt a bit cold, and my room was quite small, not living up to my expectations. Overall, it was a mixed experience! 😊
Rooms

The room was well-designed and comfortable, but it was much smaller than I anticipated, and the shower was impossibly small. I did appreciate the artistic vibe, but I wished for more amenities like a fridge.
Service

While the event staff were excellent during the wedding, the front desk staff lacked warmth and friendliness, which was a bit disappointing.
Location

Its location is prime, surrounded by a variety of restaurants and shops along Queen Street. I loved being so close to everything I wanted to explore.
Dining

The dining options were decent, offering hand-cut steaks, but I found the menu to be a little unimaginative and lacking creativity.
Facilities

The hotel featured unique and inviting spaces, but the elevator setup can be cumbersome since it's only operated by staff. Additionally, I did miss having a mini-fridge in the room.

My stay at the Gladstone House was quite a mixed bag. On one hand, the creative design of my room and the fantastic service from the staff made a real impression. But I did notice some practical issues, like the noise from the air conditioning and a somewhat cramped bathroom. Overall, it was a unique experience but not without its drawbacks.

Overall, my stay at the Gladstone House was a mix of charm and discomfort. While I loved the historic feels and unique decor of the hotel, the low insulation in the room meant I could hear my neighbors more than I'd like. The check-in experience was fantastic, thanks to a friendly front desk associate, but the check-out left a sour taste due to a rude staff member. If the location suits you and you're not overly sensitive to noise, it might be worth the stay.
Rooms

I found the room's decor to be less artistic and more reminiscent of a child's room than a boutique hotel. The bed was uncomfortable, and the noise from outside made it hard to sleep well.
